The beginning of a new era

Karim has been struggling with strange nausea symptoms since moving to the big city. While his girlfriend Leila faces sexism during a job interview, he eventually receives an unusual diagnosis: he is pregnant! It appears to be a global mutation, and as the world is thrown into turmoil and Leila finally starts to feel better, Karim must confront not only the fear of childbirth but also his identity as a man.

Working with Anna-Lena Schwing and Maximilian Mundt on this offbeat story called for playful music. I wrote a pop song and created a 1990s techno remix of Antje Schomaker’s “Ich muss gar nichts”.
